Delicious food, delicious fried pie, excellent service, great quiet homey atmosphere. Absolutely nothing to complain about, except for how far it is from home. We had the fried chicken and the pork plate, everything was excellent. The sweet tea was as good or better than any I've had in my life, the pork was perfect, tender, flavorful, spicy. The sides were all great, the squash, Mac and cheese, perfectly seasoned, great home cooked tasting food. The potato salad reminded me of what my mother made 15 years ago. After paying, we decided on a peach fried pie to take with us, and it was amazing. Tender, fluffy, buttery crust, dusted with sugar and filled with sweet, tender peaches. Can't beat that, absolutely recommend if you're in the area. They also had a drive through and carry out, however you get it, I'm sure it's great.

It was great food. First time eating there. But just one waitress. Was spending more time on her phone then coming over to see if we needed anything.

Great bbq restaurant!! Been here many times and have eaten take-out from here multiple times, too. Good down-home country menu with all the fixins.. great staff and great food. Local sports memorabilia adorns the walls, paying homage to the super-successful youth sports teams. If you ever find yourself in Russellville, KY, you gotta hit Roy's!!!

Have been wanting to get a pulled pork sandwich from Roy's for quite a while now. Today was the day. I learned they smoke their own and my pork sandwich was really tasty. Also, got a piece of fried catfish and some baked beans with unsweetened iced tea. All was really good and will go back another day. Food was brought out in just a several minutes. Apparently I arrived before the lunch crowd because the dining room was filling fast. After I got outside, I could see a line at the drive through. Apparently lots of people like Roy's food. Clean restroom. Plenty of parking spaces.

This was our 1st visit. I had the barbecue plate with chopped barbecue, on cornbread with coleslaw and cucumber salad sides, my husband had the ribs, cabbage, and black eyed peas. Everything was excellent! Can’t wait to go back and try their other menu items. The service was super and they totally reflected true southern hospitality.

I don't have enough words to explain how much and the reasons why I love this place. We've been twice since moving to the area and we are planning on going back on multiple occasions! The food is amazing, service is great. Great small town feel to walking in and being greeted. Definitely a must go to location for some hometown cooking and BBQ! Even their catfish is delicious!!!!!

Absolutely love this joint! I know you didn't ask, but here's the backstory anyway: my wife broke her ankle back in fall of 2023, so she couldn't walk. Well, we wanted to get out of the house since she's couped up in there all day-she works from home and had a broken ankle, so needless to say she was sick of looking at the inside of our home. So, in an effort to show her some different scenery, I decided to find some good BBQ joints that were 1) not in Nashville (that drive is sickening to say the least) and 2) a little bit away so we could have a nice, relaxing weekend drive and she could just sit and ride. Well, we live in Clarksville, so we decided to travel up Guthrie HWY and see what we see. Roy's came in CLUTCH! It was a beautiful scenic 1hr drive from the house and the food is outstanding! My wife is especially fond of their white beans and ribs, while I usually get either pulled pork or chicken (you can never go wrong with yardbird). Their serving sizes are generous and the meat falls off the bone. Their service their so far is outstanding as well-very down home and welcoming. Great place to gather as a couple or even as a whole group/family. I will say that we always get take out, but one of these days we'll have to come in for the in-house experience...and their pie! I hear it's as good as the Q, so definitely have to give that a try as well. Thanks Roy's!

Great BBQ. The fried okra was a pleasant surprise. Some of the best I've had in a long while. We also tried the fried pies. Apple and peach. Very yummy! A nice ending to our meal.
